Portable vs Stationary Pressure Washers
Deciding whether to purchase a portable washer or a stationary washer is sometimes decided by preference but more often decided by NEED.
Portable pressure washers have wheel kits so they can be moved to different cleaning locations. Portable washers are usually Fuel Oil fired with either an electric motor or Gas Engine to run the pump. Portability can make it possible to share a pressure washer with multiple facilities. Care must be taken when moving the portable machine to keep it from damage and freezing temperature.
Stationary pressure washers may be a better value in situations such as a wash bay or a shop . If Natural Gas or L.P. is available it is more cost effective and eliminates the need to fill a fuel tank. The stationary pressure washer can be installed away from the cleaning area and plumbed to different cleaning stations. Since the machine is located away from the cleaning area there is less chance of damage and misuse. The stationary washer can be mounted on a stand with detergent barrels underneath to save floor space.
Deciding the Portability of a pressure washer is one of the key steps in determining which washer is right for you !!
