New Year’s Resolutions for Your Equipment

We’ve entered a new year, and for many of us, that comes with resolutions to do better in 2019. Whether that’s a personal goal like quitting a bad habit or being more active or a professional goal to improve your skills or hit new sales or profitability goals, there’s nothing wrong with wanting to strive for a better and more productive year.

Your equipment could benefit from a resolution for 2019, too. Why not resolve to take better care of your gear this year? Make sure your machines are always ready to clean with the CLEAN Accountability Plan from Hotsy of Southern California.

Being Accountable to Yourself

When deciding on your own resolution, you look at what you feel could stand to be improved. That’s the same approach we use with our CLEAN Accountability Plan.

It starts by performing a comprehensive tune-up of your equipment and cleaning systems to make sure they are running well. This includes a full equipment evaluation, designed to identify the existing condition of your cleaning gear and identify any pressing repair or component replacement needs. We also work with you to discuss your routine usage to understand the kind of wear, tear and stress your equipment experiences throughout the year.

Scheduling Maintenance and Upkeep

Once your equipment is refreshed with our tune up and we learn about your usage, we will work with you to create a scheduled maintenance plan that will ensure your machines are properly maintained and ready to go whenever you need them. Our scheduled maintenance is planned based on your level of usage, and designed to adapt to your schedule, helping minimize downtime and any interruption to your work routine.

With each appointment, your machines will be thoroughly assessed and re-greased as needed to ensure all moving parts are running smoothly. Our technicians will also have additional lubricants, fluids, filters, parts and other accessories to handle filter changes or other tasks that may be called for depending on the maintenance schedule.

When you set up scheduled maintenance, you can worry less about your upkeep and trust that whenever you turn on your pressure washer, you’ll be working efficiently, effectively and safely.

Accessories to Work Smarter

The third step of the CLEAN Accountability plan looks at your operations to see how accessories, additional equipment or newer components may help you save time and money with your work. If you frequently work within a wash bay, for example, hose reels can help reduce the wear on your hoses while extension wands could help clean underneath vehicles more quickly.

We’ll discuss your routine cleaning jobs with you and understand what challenges you face with your operations. With hundreds of accessories available, we may be able to recommend a solution that can help you work smarter, safer and more efficiently.

Determining the Best Detergents

In addition to reviewing your equipment and accessories, we’ll also take a look at your detergent and chemical usage to identify any inefficiencies or opportunities to save on your costs. Some detergents don’t work well in cold weather or can benefit from foamers that help prolong the exposure time on surfaces. In other instances, choosing a concentrated formula could save on both costs and space within your working area. Let us take a look and see if there’s a more cost-effective way to approach your detergent use.

Staying Safe with Training

Finally, working efficiently and effectively are only two of the three tenets of CLEAN – the third is safety, which is why Hotsy of Southern California offers opportunities to ensure your team is using your cleaning systems properly and in a safe manner. We can conduct operator training and maintenance classes to your team members to provide a comprehensive education on pressure washer safety, including proper operational precautions, required maintenance, correct storage and cleaning and other best practices. With this knowledge, your team will work safely every time and help prolong the life of your equipment.
